Wind Energy

A wind turbine can use the wind's energy to generate electricity. Wind turbines are mounted on a tower to capture the most energy. Turbines catch the wind's energy with their propeller-like blades. They can be used as stand-alone applications, connected to a utility power grid or combined with a photovoltaic (solar cell) system. Stand-alone wind turbines are typically used for water pumping or communications. However, homeowners, farmers and ranchers in windy areas can also use wind turbines as a way to cut their electric bills.

NJRCEV announced its entry into the on-shore wind market in 2014 with the acquistion of the Two Dot Wind Farm in Montana.

Solar Energy

Solar energy technologies use the sun's energy to provide heat and electricity for homes, businesses and industry. Solar powered electrical generation relies on photovoltaics. A partial list of other solar applications includes space heating and cooling through solar architecture, daylighting, solar hot water, solar cooking and high temperature process heat for industrial purposes.
